I wouldn't be actually surprised if CCP already had this idea in some iteration. And even if not, I bet they'll introduce many new interesting game modes planned for future Dust.

Really cool idea, in my opinion. Although I'd like it more if solo players couldn't go into this mode, only squads of four. And four squad battles sound very interesting to me.
